Forfar photographer Anne Johnston is exhibiting her landscape photographer at Whitehills Art Gallery

I am so pleased to announce I am exhibiting in the Art Gallery at Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre in Forfar from 5th December 2017 until 2nd February 2018. You can visit the exhibition daily from 9am – 7pm. Read on and I’ll share with you what inspired me to do the exhibition, how you can buy the artwork and how you can watch the exhibition on TV.

The ethos behind the Community Care Centre is to provide a Centre for various aspects of health and social well-being. Art can contribute to a healing environment and 20% commission from the sale of my artwork goes directly back to the Arts and Environment Fund for Whitehills, allowing them to continually improve their surroundings.

My inspiration for the exhibition

I’m really inspired by the beauty that is all around us right here in Angus. From the beautiful Corrie Fee in the Angus Glens to the spectacular sea vista of Lunan Bay, we have it all right here. I want to encourage you to explore what’s on your doorstep and see what hidden gems you can discover yourself.

In this exhibition I’m sharing with you some of our local landscapes from my Scotland Portfolio as well as a few of my favourite places to visit in Scotland.

I love the softness of the light of golden hour just after sunrise and before sunset and capturing the spectacular skies that can be seen for a fleeting moment of time.

During the winter months it’s not unusual for me to venture out in the middle of the night hoping to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Here’s one of the two images of the Northern Lights at Balgavies Loch near Forfar are on display at the exhibition.

How to buy a piece of artwork at the exhibition

There are a variety of hand-crafted canvas wraps and framed prints on display at the exhibition.

If you would like to buy one of the pieces, please speak to Lynn Rose at the Cash Office at Whitehills. If she’s not available you can email her at lynnrose@nhs.net

There are red dots on the price list to indicate which pieces have been sold. If the piece of artwork you would like has already been sold or you would like it another size please get in touch with me and I can arrange for new pieces to be produced.

Please visit my Scotland Portfolio to see my full range of Scotland landscape photography and to find out more information about the products that are available to buy in my online shop.

Watch the exhibition at Whitehills on the STV Player

If you’re not able to visit the exhibition personally you can catch a glimpse of it online in my debut TV appearance!

I was interviewed about the exhibition for STV2’s Live at 7.30, Scotland’s biggest daily magazine TV show. The interview aired on TV on 5th January 2018.

You can watch the interview on the STV Player until 4th February 2018.
