I am so pleased to announce I am exhibiting in the Art Gallery at Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre in Forfar from 5th December 2017 until 2nd February 2018.
The ethos behind the Community Care Centre is to provide a Centre for various aspects of health and social well-being. Art can contribute to a healing environment and 20% commission from the sale of my artwork goes directly back to the Arts and Environment Fund for Whitehills, allowing them to continually improve their surroundings.
I’m really inspired by the beauty that is all around us right here in Angus. In this exhibition I want to share with you some of our local landscapes from my Scotland Portfolio as well as a few of my favourite places to visit in Scotland.
I love the softness of the light of golden hour just after sunrise and before sunset and capturing the spectacular skies that can be seen for a fleeting moment of time. During the winter months it’s not unusual for me to venture out in the middle of the night hoping to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Two of my images of the Northern Lights at Balgavies Loch near Forfar are on display at the exhibition.
Amazingly, 7 pieces of artwork sold as I was setting up the exhibition but if you see a red dot on a piece that you’d like, please ask at the Cash Office or Reception at Whitehills as I will be able to order up more.
It’s important for me to help support my local community and I hope you will enjoy my exhibition, which is open daily from 9am – 7pm. If you visit the exhibition please feel free to leave a comment in the Visitor’s Book in the Reception.
