wedding photography questions

Your wedding day will be one of the happiest days of your life that you will look back with fond memories for many years to come. With so many wedding photographers to choose from, where do you start? How will you know that you’ve met your perfect wedding photographer and you can put all your trust in her to capture all the emotions of your special day? Do you like her wedding photography style? Candid, documentary, storytelling, reportage. What do all those buzzwords even mean?

I’ve been photographing weddings in Dundee and Angus for over 4 years and my aim with my blog is to help break down the jargon and really take the stress out of choosing your wedding photographer. I’ve spoken to past wedding clients, I’ve been through my emails with a fine tooth comb and I’ve been taking note of all the questions I’ve been asked in meetings with my clients. I have lots of questions ready to answer for you but I want your help. I want to get to the nitty gritty here and put together the ultimate guide to choosing your wedding photographer.

What do you really want to ask your wedding photographer?

What is your biggest wedding photography fear?

Are you worried I’ll steal you away from your guests for too long and you’ll miss out on all the fun of your own wedding?

What happens if it rains on your big day?

Are there things that you don’t understand about wedding photography?

Are you worried your photos will be edited too much and you won’t even look like yourself?

You could have a Husband-to-be that has a fake smile like Chandler from Friends when you put a camera in front of him. What do you do about that? True story….. I’ll not name my clients (you know who you are) but what a giggle that episode is. The answer? I used my awesome super powers of course to relax him and bring out his beautiful natural smile.

So, wherever you are in the world, whether you’re one of my clients or not, it doesn’t matter. What does matter is that I reach and help as many of you as I can. All you have to do is add a comment below and hit me with your questions and watch out for my answers in my future blogs. Oh, the power you have in your hands!
